Off-Highway Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary
As Off-Highway Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the tasks and activities that make up the daily operations of the facility. This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to Off-Highway Haul Truck operation, plant operation, and safety maintenance of plants and equipment.

Duties

The Off-Highway Haul Truck Driver is responsible for the following specific duties as part of his/her role in the Phillips Companies:

  • Safely drive and maneuver large off-highway haul trucks to transport materials within a mine site.
  • Haul heavy loads of earth, rock, or other materials from excavation or loading points to designated dump sites or processing areas.
  • Follow all site-specific safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to mine safety and health standards.
  • Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections of the haul truck, checking for mechanical issues, tire conditions, and fluid levels, and reporting any defects promptly.
  • Operate with awareness of site conditions, including weather, ground stability, and potential hazards like equipment traffic.
  • Meet daily production targets by efficiently transporting materials while minimizing downtime.
  • Perform general plant maintenance and repairs
  • Use of various hand tools, cutting tools and welding equipment
  • Comply with all company and MSHA policies and procedures
  • Complete MSHA new miner training and annual refresher training
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience a plus
  • Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
