A) Basic Function of the Position:
The Land Improvement Center (LIC) Associate is responsible for assisting in the operations and assets related to the LIC facility. This position requires significant collaboration with customers, other Phillips Companies’ employees, and the LIC manager. This person is expected to participate in all company-sponsored programs and conduct themselves in alignment with company values.
B) Line of Communication and Authority:
The LIC Associate reports to the LIC Manager of Phillips Companies. This position requires significant collaboration with customers and team members.
C) General Responsibilities:
As a member of the Phillips Companies team, the LIC Associate is responsible for the following activities:
- Provide service to customers for assistance in product specifications, production application, product pricing, product delivery, loading and unloading product, and sales order/execution.
- Assist in the operation and light maintenance of equipment related to LIC operations, including mulch blower, skid steer loaders, forklifts, trucks, lawn mowers, and others as needed.
- Assist in other LIC duties such as phone reception, sales register operation, and other customer service-related functions.
- Learn and fulfill safety requirements, LIC operations, internal procedures, and company policy.
D) Skill Sets and Qualifications:
The LIC Associate should possess and demonstrate the following skill sets and qualifications.
- Experience in landscaping or construction preferred
- Experience operating a skid steer
- Ability to follow directions and be self-motivated
- Ability to adapt and learn new skills
- Ability to work with the public
E) Equipment Operating Skills:
Includes proper pre-trip inspections, effective and safe operating practices, write-up procedures, demonstrated competency, and other management deems necessary.
- Pallet scales
- Skid steer loader
- Rough terrain forklift
F) Physical Requirements
Frequent
lifting up to 100lbs, repeated pushing and pulling, must have the ability to
reach over shoulders and do overhead work, repeated climbing of ladders, and
while carrying product, kneeling, bending, squatting, walking on uneven
pavement. Must have the ability to work outside in all temperatures.

REQUIRED: WORKING MOST SATURDAYS THROUGH OCTOBER
FULL TIME/FULL BENEFITS
PAY RANGE $18-$20 PER HOUR
