Phillips Companies is looking for a Loader Operator to join our Aggregate team in Xenia, OH! As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, specifically loaders, to support the daily operations of the facility. This position will involve tasks related to material handling, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a safe work environment.
The Loader Operator is responsible for the following specific duties as part of their role in the Phillips Companies:
- Operate loaders to move, load, and transport aggregate materials efficiently
- Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safe functionality
- Conduct daily workplace exams to identify and address potential hazards
- Assist with general plant maintenance and minor equipment repairs
- Safely navigate roadways and loading areas to maintain smooth operations
- Comply with all company and MSHA policies and procedures
- Identify and use proper PPE for each task
- Report and address any mechanical issues with equipment promptly
- Complete MSHA new miner training and annual refresher training
- Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Team Oriented
- Flexible to learn multiple tasks
- Self-managed and energetic
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is a plus
- Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated, and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
